Episode 1/ Children of the Gods (2 Parter)

Colonel Jack O'Neill retired from the military a year ago after leading an expedition through the Stargate, an ancient portal which allows instantaneous travel to other galaxies. After an attack on the Cheyenne Mountain base through the Stargate, Jack is called back to duty to explain how it could have happened if they had destroyed the gate on Abydos, the world he visited through the Stargate, on his original mission. Jack confesses to not destroying the gate, and in fact, leaving Dr Daniel Jackson alive and well on Abydos with a new wife.

General Hammond, who is now in charge of the Stargate, gives Jack some time to see if the attack came from Abydos. Jack is joined on the mission by Kawalski and Ferretti of the original mission, and Dr Samantha Carter who is an astrophysicist and Captain in the US Air force.

On Abydos they discover Daniel is living quite happily with his wife Sha're. Skaara, the boy who took to Jack on his original mission, is very pleased to see him back. Daniel has discovered a giant cartouche covered in hieroglyphics that seem to be a map of many Stargate's throughout the galaxy.

Unfortunately, while they are looking at this some aliens come through the gate and kidnap Sha're and Skaara. Many are injured in the fight with the aliens but Ferretti, despite being wounded, was able to see the hieroglyphic code the alien's entered and Jack and Daniel are determined to follow and rescue Sha're and Skaara.

They return to Earth with their wounded and track the aliens to a planet known as Chulak. There are captured and put in prison with many other prisoners. There they discover Sha're is now Apophis' queen, her body having been taken over by a parasitic Goa'uld snake creature. Ra was one of these creatures.

They can't save her but can they save themselves and the innocent people on the planet before they're killed by the Goa'uld guards and before General Hammond sends a nuclear bomb through the gate?

(Be warned, in some version of this episode there are some scenes of nudity, where Apophis is "looking over" the women)

Episode 2/ The Enemy Within

The Jaffa soldiers are splattering against the protective titanium iris that SGC (Stargate Command) have installed on the Stargate to prevent unauthorised entry. However, as Jack is trying to get Teal'c (the Jaffa who helped them escape of Chulak) added as a member of his team it gradually becomes clear that the enemy they have to guard against is already in SGC, in Kawalsky. The only way to take it out is to perform an operation. At first the suspicions on how the Goa'uld got into Kawalsky go towards Teal'c and his premature symbiote, however, they realise that he is not the thread and the longer the Goa'uld stays in Kawalsky the more control it will get over him.

To rid Kawalsky of the symbiote, Dr Janet Fraiser performs a surgery and removes the symbiote, however all is not well as the symbiote had already taken over his body, and what was removed was nothing but a mere shell. However, no one realises this until he attacks Teal'c at which point they have very little choice in what to do.

Episode 3/ Emancipation

On their first mission together as SG-1, Teal'c, Carter, O'Neill and Jackson visit the planet Simarka and meet the Shavadai, a race of people similar to the Mongols of Earth. The planet has a very intolerable surface during the daytime and all the people of the planet live in caves and only come out during night when they are safe from the effects of the sun. However, as self-proclaimed gods Hanson decides that they aren't working fast enough and they force them to work in the day time which can be fatal to them. When Sam tries to talk to them she fails and becomes a captive of Captain Hanson. There is however an alien device on the planet which when activated would protect the villages from the harmful effects of the sun. Captain Hanson knows of it and wants to use it to make the beliefs of the people even more profound, however what he does not know is that it takes two devices for it to work, however Jack does and he is in possesion of the second device.

They find that the planet is protected by a device called the "Thors Hammer". The device senses a symbiote and transports them to the labyrinth.
